Superman Bear

Recall the friend I mentioned in the previous post whom we surprised?

I initially doubted myself when I was signing off the credit card bill.

See how big it is? And very heavy too!

Literally hid my head.

But then its all worth it when you see the birthday boy's expression.

Not only did he carry it around,

He was happily posing with it.

Not for mere 5 mins.

But for the whole night till he passed out.

ok enough of bunny bear photos.

Superman bear could be found in any S + J outlets.

Anybody know where to get Roger Hargreaves' Mr. Bandage?

Saw it in Memory Lane (original) and other gift shops (pirated ones). I want Mr. Bandage!!! But I like to call it Mr. Jihad. coz kekekekee.

Till then. What's your plan for new year's?

Weekend

How was your weekend? Mine was very tiring yet fulfilling!

1. Went to Gardens and bump into an old friend.

2. Mr. Chee spoiled me with another doll. Surprised a friend on his birthday.

3. Met a friend who's back from the States for lunch. Sorry Desmond if you're reading this. Been really caught up with work lately.

4. Went shopping again and look what Mr. Chee really bought me!

Because he looked so damn ham sap and annoying I couldn't stop laughing. Just like Mr. Chee. So he had to get it for me. HAHHAHHAHA. *shifty eyes* HAHAHAHAHA.

5. Helped out in a wedding.

Beautiful bride.

6. Rushed off to attend another wedding.

Starbucks partners.

The best people you ever meet.

During the wedding twas' bitching catching up with Ryn.

Ryn: Its so different now that we're all gathered here but the feeling's not the same.

Me: Yea Everyone has moved on to different paths. For the better but yea...

Ryn: Treasure every moment of your life.

I couldn't agree more. But I'm still very disappointed with certain individuals though. Perhaps it takes one to enter the corporate world to truly understand and treasure all that you have or used to have.

I used to think people were bullshitting when they say things like that to me. Since I worked part time when I was a student hence I perceived myself to be different. Boy I was so damn wrong. Well, can't really stop an idiot for being an idiot.

Till then. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

Ginger Hair Midget

I'm back from the premier of Sherlock Holmes! Courtesy of Nuffnang and TGV cinemas.

It was really good! The jokes were very "The Big Bang Theory" like. Hehe. No spoilers here. Just go freakin' catch the movie!

But there was this effin' BIMBO sitting behind my row. FUCKING ANNOYING. She had to comment on everything and she had to talk aloud. Hello... No one wants to freakin' know your shallow thoughts la idiot.

Oh noes! Its 1:22 a.m. Gonna be a LONG day tmr.

Remember to catch Sherlock Holmes this coming Thursday! Babai!

Till then. I'm so tempted to get a Longchamp! URGH!

Of Clothes & Fish Market

Hello every buddy. A very short one. Been really busy over the weekend.

Left work early on Thursday (7.30 consider early la) and Ran walked quickly to the mall because I couldn't resist temptation any longer. huhuhu.

Lookie lookie my buyings of the day.
2 skirts + 3 tops = RM 250 ONLY. ka ching!

Working near a mall has its pros and cons. I'm trying so very hard to save for a REAL shopping trip (not another Bangkok trip though). Some vacation where you can splurge splurge splurge! But by the rate I'm going, I'm close to nowhere. I have lunch in the mall so whenever I pass by a shop and see the word SALE or NEW ARRIVALS then I'll make a mental note. On lucky days, I'll leave work early and attack the shops. wtf. Best part? I always have the excuse of its ok I'm working so hard I should reward myself. Zzzzz.

Whatever la.

Dinner at Manhattan Fish Market

We got RM30 voucher courtesy of Manhattan Fish Market!

Better environment after the renovation. Great service too!

I was so engrossed with shopping till I din't notice the time.

So by the time we got there most of the shops were closed. Manhattan was on of the few restaurants open. When we entered, the staff were very friendly with a echoes of "WELCOME!" from almost every corner. I really hate entering restaurants when the boss still wanna get business but all the staff just stare at you as if you killed their gold fish or something. They could've inform us politely that the kitchen is closed or we're closing or something. Whatever la. Manhattan's good.

Grilled Gala Plater for Two

Photo doesn't do justice. The fish was very well marinated and grilled to perfection. The mussels were just splendid. The calamaris was average though. Think they din't marinate enough but the prawns were not fresh. Overall, I still loved it! Since I'm allergic to prawns so it din't affect me much. wtf. Manhattan's grilled fish is still one of my favourite and  they still taste the same as before. Unlike Fish & Co. I don't know why after dining there so many times I still get the same sick feeling. The kinda feeling where when you're hungry and you gobble the food its so super yummy then after that the sick feeling just rises up from your stomach and make you feel like puking. YUCKS.

And not forgetting

My handsome drug addict boyfriend. HAHAHHAHA.

Till then. I'm gonna watch the premier screening of Sherlock Holmes tomorrow!

Dear donkey

A text which made my day.

Dear donkey,
So I had this pet monkey
I got him from the zoo,
But then I found this donkey so full of hyperness who acted just like u.
So I traded the monkey for the donkey.

The next day when I was walking at the zoo,
and there sat the monkey looking sort of blue.
So I took him from the zoo,
and knew he would be perfect for you.

It is these things that I look forward to after a long day.

Fong Lye Restaurant

Passed by this place a couple of times. Forever jam pack especially during weekends.

They serve lime juice while waiting to enter the restaurant.

Gui Hua + Oo Long tea
(please excuse my not very graceful tea boy. tsk tsk)

Braised beef glass noodle soup

Braised beef was pretty good. Thin slice tasted rather sweet. Din't like the glass noodle though. Probably the exact thing but with noodles would've tasted better. The same side dishes are served to all set meals though it may appear different in the menu. 1. Pickled cucumber was good but rather ordinary dish. 2. I like the one in the middle best. Stir fried something. Can't recall taste like yam cake with crispy trimming and some vege inside. 3. Pickled vege and clam. Pretty good. It was lil sourish and appetizing.

Spicy Pork Intestine Set

Personally not a fan of intestines at all. The soup was not that spicy and tasted more like pepper + oil soup. So so only but Mr. Chee liked it so much very much. The soup (the one on the bottom left) was radish + carrot. Sweeeeeeeeeeet. I love it!

Side dish - Pork Intestine mee sua

Another dish that I din't enjoy. The gravy was rather weird. Sourish + sweet + pepper. Mr. Chee loved every bit of it though.

Appetizer - Rou Yuan

The outer layer is made out of flour accompanied with minced beef or pork inside. Can't recall. The dough is really gummy though we ate it right after been served. *yucks* and the gravy tasted more like ketchup + weird stuff and smell. Really don't know how to describe I just don't like it! There.

Steam Fish Marinated with Pineapple

Salted vege soup - not too bad but as it wasn't too salty and had the sweet soup taste. But I prefer the radish soup mentioned earlier. The fish was good. If you eat it along with the small bits of asam it taste better! Plus its boneless and din't have that stinky fish smell. I don't usually like eat steam fish in restaurants because of that stingy smell. I would say is the best dish for the night. However, be prepared to wait if you order this. Btw the portion for all dishes were rather small too because I managed finished my bowl of rice! tsk tsk.

Something Peanut (Snow Mountain I supposed?)

Was really good! Tasted like "fa sang wu" (the Chinese dessert) except is frozen. Plus its not too sweet. I really liked the feeling of chewing lil bits of ice.

Overall, an average place to dine in. Just that you would have to know which to order. Or probably I'm not much of a Chinese/ Taiwanese food person. That's why. As mentioned the portion was rather small though. Kinda deceived by the photos shown in the menu. Mr. Chee literally finished everything except for the last dish and dessert. Greedy boy. hohoho.

By the way they conduct cash transactions ONLY.

Till then. 1 & 1/2 more workdays to weekend!

To the idiots

Can't believe people actually spend money on that. How stupid.

*
Have you ever felt so helpless till you blame yourself for being useless? Somethings which could be done in less than an hour had to drag to a week and it is still on hold. Sigh. I tried my best and pushed and be motivated and everything I could but I'm still at square one.

Till then. I don't know how should I carry myself anymore.

Grumps

Visited them twice but could not find time to blog bout them.

Very nice cosy environment.

Accompanied with detailed decoration.

Prawn bisque soup.

Very nicely done with just nice flavouring. Neither too thick nor too blunt. Unlike the one served in Twenty One. It was so diluted it tasted more like water with mixture of prawn flavouring.

Roasted Chicken with Mushroom gravy

Very nicely roasted chicken accompanied with mash potato. I'm a sucker for the mash potato. The gravy was a very good complimentary flavour to both the chicken and the potato.

Fillet of Butter Fish with Cream Sauce

They were very generous with the serving of the fillet. It was pan fried to perfection and sauce was superb. Not too strong or thick. This doesn't give you that sick yucky feeling you know sometimes you get after eating too much of creamy stuff. However, be warn that its best consumed while its still hot. After the temperature drop, the fish will have tend to smell and won't be so tasty as before. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the parsley potatoes!Generally, this is taste way better than the Magnificent Fish & Chips

Grilled Boneless Breast Chicken
Tasted similar like the roasted chicken but a lil dry.

Pork Cordon Bleu

This was a disappointment. The pork was pan fried without gravy which made it rather dry and tasteless. On top of that the inside of it supposed to be ham + cheese. The cheese was still stagnant as a slice in between the ham and the pork. Usually the inside of a cordon bleu should be of high temperature till the extend you could see the cheese in liquid form when you cut the meat into slices. The higher temperature also brings out more flavouring.

Overall, a very nice place to dine in and rather affordable too!

Just a friendly reminder please park your vehicles at the designated parking area because our car was clamped and we had to pay RM 50 fine! ASS HOLES! Fine I admit it was our fault for being ignorant but the sign was damn shit ass si bei the small. Plus the reserve box was damn small also. Langsung tak boleh nampak when you're in the car.

We were trying to negotiate with the car park guy but he said that the customer (tenant) complain. I don't know how true it is but the best part was 90% of the cars were parked in the reserve area but our car was the ONLY FREAKIN' CAR that was clam.  See for yourself. I'm sorry if your car number plate is shown here I don't have anything against you but just the management or the supposingly "customer".

The supposingly customer who complained.

Ok enough of number plates. If you wanna clamp my car. Fine go ahead. But why don't you clam the others as well? What's your justification for clamping only my car?!

Till then. Nothing's fair but how would you feel if you were in my shoes?
