Hellooo Bangkok

So where do I begin? I went to Bangkok in July for 3 days technically 1 & 1/2 days. Was supposed to be there for 5 days but because of my convocation bla bla bla. Long story short there was barely enough time left for me. sobs.

Hence, Mr. Chee being such a wonderful and loving bf (wtf) decided to drown my sorrow and threw me another Bangkok trip! *jumps around with joy*

Off we went!

He first gave me a bar of choc just in case I got bored and decided to snack. FML.

My very handsome boyfriend. HAHAHAHA.

Yea that's Coke he's holding. Well I was doing last min packing and overslept *shifty eyes* so when they came to pick me up I had to take away McDs and eat in the car.

Its Michael Jackson in KLIA! Well the Asian version.

Spotted him from his back and literally gave me a fright. Thought M.J. came back to live. Too bad din't take the full length photo.

Why is my boyfriend always like that? -______-

While waiting to board.

Nice environment but yucky food. Might as well visit O' Brien's instead.

Facebook : Jo Anne is waiting to board

We flew with Lufthansa Airways. Will do a separate post.

Savateekap! Welcome to Bangkok!
Ok Thai ppl are very friendly and welcoming unlike the big & small monster. wtf.

Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok at night. Beautiful isn't it?

We first stopped by 7-11. There could be easily 3 7-11s located on a stretch of 2 km street. Not forgetting the same amount directly on the opposite of the street.

Peach drink with aloe vera. Too sweet I don't like.

They sell sausages and burgers round the clock too! Pork! Chicken! yummmmm...

and stuffings to go with your snack.

We stayed in Benz's place.

A place where kids, teenagers & adults would love to live in. Why?

Tadaaaa!!! This is what you'll see every morning.

Benz lives with his siblings only in the same house his parents lives in another house but in the same compound. So its like a lil getaway place where no one will nag at you and someone will come & clean after you. hehe. Btw Notice the big windows? They act more like two way mirrors.

China Town for brunch. Heavy downpour roooooarrrrrrrr!

Twas' supposed to go to Sampeng - the place I bought DomDom. (click!) So off we went to my FAVOURITE mall instead. Platinum Mall!!!! w00t!

Platinum Mall is like Sungei Wang just that its wayyyyyy bigger, wayyyyyyyyy more shops and they sell different stuff. My advice is if u see something u like, grab it! Don't do the I'll think about it and compare price nonsense because once you've passed the shop, its rather difficult to relocate the shop again. Trust me I've been there not once not twice but many times.

Like Mr. Chee always remind me, "Don't you regret!" Ladies & gentlemen, allow me to explain his definition of the sentence. It means don't you regret that you din't buy that item when you're back home. Not don't you regret you spent too much. HAHAHAHAH.

The super patient Mr. Chee.
Sorry. Very environmental unfriendly since it was an unexpected visit to the mall. tsk tsk.

Stuff we bought on the first day. More hidden stuff beneath the packs of clothes. lol.

Meet Boat, Benz's sister & Benz.

Had dinner with Benz's family at this really authentic Thai restaurant. yuuuumssssssssss... Will do all food posts separately.

Celebrated Mr. Chee's bday.

He mentioned quite sometime ago the last time he cut a cake was prob when he was 12 or so?. Hence, I decided to surprise him with cake. It was very difficult to make arrangements ok. Espcially when he's with me 24/7 to top it off I was in a foreign land. Couldn't have done it without Benz & his dad's help.

Present from me.

Confession: I drew lil cupcakes as if they were having a picnic but then I erased them off because by the time I finished colouring Mojojo I was dead exhausted. Thus the flowers. Simple finish! *shifty eyes*

Benz and his gf.

Boat, one who watches Korean dramas, idolise Korean singers and does everything Korean.
She said this to me when I first met her, "I'm Korean. Not Thai." HAHAHAHAHA.

Us all set to club!

We headed to Ekamai street where nice clubs were located. Well from the outside the building looked really posh.

Nung Len. Exucuse the bad lighting.

Nung Len is a pub/ restaurant where's there's really nice live band but if R&B is your thang then Escobar is the section to be. They play the latest music most of them yet to be heard on the radio only from Mr. Chee's ipod.

Escobar downstairs.

Escobar upstairs.

The smoking area. 1 000 times better than M.O.S's pathetic smoking room.

View from the balcony.

They serve Coke, Soda water & drinking water in the conventional glass bottle.

Us.

The background is actually made out of empty bottles.

Twas' drinking Coke ok.

See see the Red Label was just an ornament.

Err ok. This is the part where Benz's gf actually yelled to me. "You alcoholic!" HAHAHAHA.

Then because I became alcoholic Mr. Chee decided to leave me for Benz. ROFL.

And we also spotted this girl who had too much stuff in her pocket. I think?

They have Sotong bakar and luk luk selling outside the club too. But the going home scene's more dramatic. We saw a girl threw a bottle at a guy. Unlike in KL where everyone would hug & bid farewell after clubbing.

Pick n Brew

In the midst of searching for inspiration wtf to blog about Bangkok, (There are just too many stuff don't know where to start) Here's a lil something.

We went for tea on the Sunday before Mr. Chee claimed for his reward dinner(click). Just the way I like it on a Sunday afternoon.:)))))

Ok stoner aside. Let's talk bout food!

Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon

It was so so. I've tasted better ones. Somehow or rather something was missing. Perhaps the dressing and garlic bread was't the right combination.

Strawberry Banana Frappélicious

This was really good. Sweet stuff I must say. The combination was perfect not too icy yet not too sweet.

See its so good I was head of over heels! (ignore my zitty face. Mr. Chee has been calling me Miney Mouse since then. FML.)

Adrenaline from Columbia + Brazil
Pick n Brew coffee from the House Selection, Vibrant.

It was a really good combination I must say. Best to drink it without milk or sugar. Its original scent is just so refreshing. I worked as a Strabucks Barista during my uni days and I feel that this could be comparative to Starbucks.
And to top it up Pick n Brew is having a promotion Buy 1 Free 1 for OneCard holders.

For more information (click!)

We enjoyed the place so much we decided to pay them a visit again after our trip!

Apple Soufflé

This is very disappointing. It din't taste apple at all. As a matter of fact it tasted like lemon! See that ugly thing stuck on top? Its just frozen lemon. We even asked the waiter if they served us the correct dessert.

Here's how a real Apple Soufflé should look like.

The part which is puffed up must be consume within 5 minutes after being served or it'll sink in and taste yucky.

Coffee - Prominence & Brazil

Prominence from Sumatra + Columbia + Brazil
House Selection, Passionate.
It taste is rather strong with full body a lil after taste of sweet cocoa.

Brazil, one of the core coffee of Pick n Brew.
Very light and refreshing. A good choice for non heavy coffee drinkers.

*note all coffees are best to consumed within 20 minutes after been served.

On a totally non related topic, Look at my pretty lil purse!
Mr. Chee : Bee why is it that you're carrying two purses today?
HAHAHAHAHAH super lame but that's why he's so compatible with me!

Then I decided to act tourist because 1 Utama was themed up for Halloween!
Mr. Chee's carrying Carl's Junior fries because I was craving for it and he surprised me. hehe.

My lizard earings. hehe.
