Visit to D' House

My company organized a trip for a couple of us to visit D'House, DiGi company on Tuesday.

The lobby entrance. Very open space concept everything transparent.

Meeting room.

Would you like to hold a meeting here with this kinda view?

The concept of the building is to maximize natural lighting by having glass walls. Moreover, they also mentioned that the air condition is adjusted to a practical temperature. Meaning? If one adjusts the temperature 2°C lower, then one would have to wear one more layer of clothing.

Ample discussion area.

Concierge area.

The minute the glass door was pushed open, super nice aroma of pastry and I had butterflies in my stomach. Here, its a support centre for the staff. Besides the obvious cafe area and normal errands such as IT support and visa application, services such as booking movie tickets, calling a cab and paying DiGi bill is available here.  How awesome is that?!

Merchandise room.
Nothing impressive but look at the wordings on the merchandise! hehe.

Since almost everywhere is transparent, hence, they made the signage to be related to the tagline.
Time to change and Simplicity.

Venue for talks and seminars

And now may I present you to my favourite area.

This is their cubicle!

Everyone employee from upper management to execs are given the same laptop of the same brand and same model. When they come to work they'll sit wherever they want to in the designated glass room for respective department. By the end of the day, they will pack all of their stuff and leave. We were told that if whoever who leaves anything behind would be thrown away. HAHHAHAHA. Reminds me of my uni library. Good ol' days.

They call these - zen areas for discussion

Call centre

The people seated on top are the ones controlling the call traffic.

All employees of the company would have to spend a night at this area and be the front line men. This is so that they would be able to understand the needs of the customer and come out with innovative ideas to improve and enhance the products or services.

Even the walkways is so artsy fartsy.

Staircase by Art Attack and children.

Big stomach guy. KAKAKKAKA.

Shaded parking lot only for those who meet one of the following criteria. If you're

1. Pregnant
2. Disabled
3. Car pool to work
4. Using a Hybrid car

The rest would have to park their cars outdoor. AWESOME. and they implement this throughout the company. Equality remember?

They even name the meeting rooms according to holiday destinations.

Indoor court

The place can be converted into a basketball court and badminton court per request. Early this year, the CEO noticed that the employees were really stressed out. He decided to reward them by ensuring all employees get to go for spa for 3 hours. Best part? Instead of the employees going for spa, they converted this area to a spa!!!

Place to reload your tummy

Overlooking this view

Noticed almost every corner outdoor is filled with green

A very good way to decrease temperature

They also place their tagline everywhere.

and us. HAHAHHAHA

DiGi's concept is to have employees to be innovative and get their creative juice working. Hence, the casual work environment would remove the unnecessary obligations of employees and have them focus only on their job task.

Seems like a splendid place for Gen Y eh?

I think I'm loosing the flow again not only this post but since the previous few posts.

Till then. Getting tired easily these days.

Hi Tea at Shook

Shook is having hi-tea promotion everyday from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. with food and beverages at RM 3.60.

Pink Guava

Cranberry Mojito
sour mocktail I don't like but fatty monkey super like. zzz.

Grilled Cumberland 8-inch Sausage with Mashed Potato and Onion Sauce

This is awesome! When you bite the sausage, the mouth the juice just splash out with the mashed potato accompanied with sweet aroma gravy. Perfect!

Caesar Salad with Parmesan Cheese
Very common dish nothing special neither tasty or yucky.

Aglio Olio with clams

I was given 6 clam shells with only 4 clams. hmph. Tasted super fishy and disgusting. Can't be compared to this.

Shrimp cocktail
Another yucky dish. Shrimp with vege and soya sauce. Soury, salty and blah.

6-inch Pepperoni Pizza

The photo cannot make it because fatty monkey took it. You see, he was busy eating, eating and eating but I din't have the chance to as I had to snap photos. Me being very kia su had to have taste of everything too. So this failed photo was taken when I was eating.

Besides the 5 pieces of pathetic pepperoni, the pizza was pretty good. Thin crust with flavourful pepperoni. If there would be more pieces of pepperoni. It would have been better.

Banana Pancake, maple syrup with Baskin Robbin ice-cream

It tasted like the box of flour pancake you from the supermarket which can be easily made at home. Seriously, it tasted like the pancakes Lily made when she was a kid. Yea she often thinks she so clever can make pancakes. HAHAHAHHA. but well coming from a kid it was really good. Besides, I hardly touch anything in the kitchen.

So with banana and pancake it tasted like roti pisang but healthier version.

Freshly Brewed Coffee

It tasted like Americano rather than Freshly Brewed Coffee. Americano - espresso shots + hot water. So it will taste really kao. When you sip the drink, it will right at the back of the tongue which is bitter part. Where else freshly brewed coffee, depending on the beans grown which region it would linger in your mouth and leave and after taste.

I did speak to the manager and she was very polite and changed the coffee for me. But it still tasted the same. I guess they weren't train in this sense.

Well, for RM 3.60 per dish one can't expect much. The service was good however, the hostess was really rude. Freaking sour face the whole time. Prolly she PMS that day. wtf.

Feast Floor, Starhill Gallery

Under The Sun #3

Its our annual Under the Sun!!! 3 years of partnership and still going strong!

Nope its not a blog shop. We just want to clear our wardrobe whilst have fun at the same time!

Couldn't have done it without Caryn.

She was in charge of the event set up whilst I did the marketing part. Well, that's what we do on a daily basis anyway. hehe.
Other pretty stalls.

Soak Republic on the left. which made me RM 40 poorer. On the right not too sure.

Me selling.

We got visitors!!!

Julian (Pin's boyfriend) is the best bf in the whole wide world because he contributed much to our sales. LOL.

I love PinPin.

Psychos reunite @ Pink Sage. Will blog bout them soon. *fingers cross

Next day! next day! next day!!!!!

Too yau yeng for me to handle.

and she was still raving bout the airplane ring she bought the day before.

Seriously. I can hardly find someone besides myself who is so easily amused with details and can still be hyped bout it the next day.

We were actually waiting for the owner or whosoever to open up the place for us. The bazaar was supposed to start at 10 a.m. and we arrived at 10:20 a.m. feeling all guilty that we were late. Boy we were surprised to see the vendors were waiting outside.

The organizer then came to apologize and said the owner of the place will be here shortly. I don't think its the owner's problem. Its called poor organizing. This is the first time I set up a stall with them. In order to contact them concerning the payment and all was headache enough. This people DO NOT read their e-mails. How I know right?  Coz Caryn e-mailed them attached with bank in slip along with details, but they still have the guts to reply us a couple of DAYS later or rather a day before the event. You guys confirm right? WTF?!

We have done bazaars with Threadszoo previously and have NEVER encountered such problems. Bijou gave me a very bad experience besides the abovementioned in which I will choose to brush them off. Not worth my time. Moreover, one of the organizers later came and ask bout things and I started a few pointers to help them improve he just fought with his small tiny point which was decoration of all things. Its your business not my loss.

and I had to eat my nasi lemak like a begger.  With construction site behind me somemore. wtf. lolol.

Still din't want to let go of my nasi lemak. wtf.

But all in all the best part bout the bazaar is the vendors were all really friendly. Gave us loads of business!!!! and...
Fed me with egg sandwich. HAHAHHAAH.

The day Caryn found out she was 1 cm taller than I and had been calling me short all this while. FHL. Best part? We stood infront of the mirror comparing, measuring and reassuring that I was really 1 cm shorter. HAHAHAHAHA. I promise I saw a few glances at us with words playing in their mind, "this 2 is damn chia lat so hai." HAHHAHAHA we  don't care!

I'm the one to blame since I hardly stand still straight.

Under the Sun

If the headband is giving your problems, you should meditate with it!

Then my sinus became flue and became moody and useless.

Till then. Start srawlin' my tales!
